Yoshitsune's quick wit and loose tongue mark him a Gemini. His intelligence and strategy is unmatched. He also has two very distinct sides to him--the kidding, eccentric joker and the serious strategist behind those glasses. His personality can swap from easygoing and comical to serious and super-pissed in one fell swoop--his anger dissolves just as quickly, though, to everyone's relief. The Rumble King never stops moving, and he always can think himself out of a problem; the man's a master strategist and thinks well ahead, but has many plans just in case.

He's objective and rational, despite his colorful displays, and he's always a team--and community--player. For instance, Trident, his team of Stormriders, has a three pronged voting system, Yoshitsune's say, his second-in-command's say, and a gestalt opinion gathered from the team as a whole via a 2chan-esque board. Yoshi's one of the most inventive and creative Kings out there, from jumping into period costumes for fun (and profit!) to using unique ways of defending himself against surprise attacks. It's also a bonus that his trademark game--Tetris--was first released in the USSR on June 6.

Tattoo: ♊, 3 inches tall, left shoulderblade.
Suitability: n/a
Power: Air manipulation, to no one's surprise.
Personality:

Gamer, madman, brilliant strategist, and bastion of terrible fashion sense, Yoshitsune's the Rumble King, no more, no less. The man who put together Trident, a StormRider empire of the Kansai region, is a complicated mix of seeming contradictions and tongue-in-cheek remarks, with a dash of lecherousness liberally applied.

Yoshi's usually found haunting an arcade, fingers wrapped around a joystick, though his mind and eyes are usually elsewhere. The man's a hobbyist, though, through and through, game references and pop culture ahoy. He's rarely without a gameboy, nor is he too far away from joking about this or that. He’s also a perv, played for laughs more often than not. There are always suggestions here or there that he and his companions should pay for some ‘company’ here or there, and he’s flipped a skirt or two.

He’s a joker through and through, playing games and being ridiculous all the way. Common antics include cosplay, arguing about whether he’s balding or not, and trolling for hilarious upset from his more respectable company and companions. It’s a wonder a moron like this could be a decent skater at all, much less a King! The guy even dresses like he walked out of the eighties!

He's humorous and teasing, and almost off-the-cuff in important observations. "Oh, that guy you thought was trying to kill your friends? Yeah, I saw him a minute ago, he's in your buddy's hospital room." No big, right~? He's a pain to deal with in most cases, but beneath the big show of silly and loud, there's a sharp mind underneath, not-quite-murdered by the copious amounts of green hair dye.

Focusing on fun most of the time, that isn't to say his mind isn't on the important stuff--just not... often. His second-in-command has said he's only serious when he takes his glasses off, and that seems to be the truth. He's an obnoxious asshat when he really wants--if people doubt him, he'll probably bitch about it or threaten them or even get into a little scuffle.

Despite all that, there is an inordinate amount of people that do respect this odd duck. The trust isn't terribly placed at all--Yoshi's intelligence shines through, though it might be at a later time, like an afterthought. His actions, while at first they seem silly, almost like mistakes--which, in all actuality, is a possibility that he’s just making the best of any given situation possible--come together at a later point, showing how he could best take advantage of everything.

The Ram Jet, Yoshitsune’s regalia, operates much like Yoshitsune himself. As it sucks in momentum and wind force from that of other skaters, so does Yoshi take the machinations and his own estimations of political turnouts to use to his advantage. His team gets recruited under a larger umbrella team? Cool! Now he won’t have to make an actual stand when the top guys in this team clash against their rivals, then he can emerge from the ruins and take the tournament! It’s opportunistic, and kind of douchebaggy, but that’s just how he is.

That said, Yoshitsune’s reliable in certain respects. It’s hard to imagine a guy like this actually has a code of honor, but his principals are just carefully chosen and meted out. He places great emphasis on the past and respect for certain traditions, though anger roused by disrespect is usually fast-dissolving. He even has the grace to know when he’s been bested! Of course, he might make a fuss about it, however much.

Despite all that, he’s actually a talented leader, trainer, skater, and strategist! Whether it’s all just hard to see amongst the muck or that the rest is a carefully-crafted persona designed to make everyone discover just why they should take him seriously is a bit of a toss-up with Yoshi--best to assume both and neither, honestly. Yoshitsune’s also unexpectedly brutal at times; when Genesis captured a face-ripping King from their rival team, Yoshi was put in charge of punishing/torturing/fishing out information from this poor fellow. He didn’t shy away from the task, and kind of enjoyed himself. This guy’s no innocent, but in a brutal world of illegal rocket-skating, it’s par for the course.

His brutality is counterpointed by a certain kindness and sacrifice, though--while Yoshi is never a man to lay down and die, he willingly gave his life to protect Kyoto, with a hell of a fight beforehand too. The man values his home and his allies highly, and is honestly, underneath all the weird, cocky fussiness of an aging, elitist geek too intellectual for his own good, a good person. Yoshitsune places his trust in the future and those that have the chops to carry on a legacy he was proud to be a part of.
